Drug Precursor Code:

The production, supply and use of illicit drugs is, regrettably, an substantial problem within the Australian society. As community awareness grows, so do the efforts to stem the flow of these illicit substances.

Health, education and law enforcement agencies are directing significant coordinated resources to not only reduce the amount of illicit drugs, but also to deal with the effect they have on users.

Adherence to the law and guidelines by the science and chemical industries, complimented by voluntary co-operation with initiatives of police and health agencies, will enhance resources for protecting the health and safety of the community.

Science Industry Australia are active members of the National Working Group on the Diversion of Precursor Chemicals.
